CAMILLE APONTE-ROSSINI
Associate
Camille C. Aponte-Rossini represents domestic and overseas clients in trans-national commercial disputes, corporate matters, debt recovery, and related matters. Ms. Aponte-Rossini advises clients on pre-litigation and litigation strategy, drafts court pleadings, as well as works closely with foreign attorneys on international points of law.
While in law school, Ms. Aponte-Rossini worked as a legal intern at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) of the Organization of American States (OAS), where she processed complaints of human rights violations against OAS Member States and drafted reports on the IACHR's activities and on human rights issues affecting the Western hemisphere. She also worked as a legal intern at the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL), where she assisted with the litigation of human rights cases at the international level.
Ms. Aponte-Rossini is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School, where she focused her studies on public international law and international human rights law. She was a Student-Attorney with the International Human Rights Clinic at the George Washington University Law School, with which she continues to collaborate as a researcher. Ms. Aponte-Rossini has co-authored a chapter about collective actions in the Inter-American system of human rights for a book to be published in 2010 by the Public Defender agency of Colombia and the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, in collaboration with the George Washington University Law School.
