KYLE KYUNGSIK CHOI
Associate
Kyle Choi represents domestic and foreign clients in cross-border commercial disputes, debt-recovery, bankruptcy, and other business matters. A large part of his practice is focused on advising Korean clients on their commercial activities in the U.S. with a focus on litigation and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Choi's experiences in international and legal matters include an internship at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, where he assisted drafting an article on WHO's perspective on tobacco control, as well as at the International Justice Missions, a non-profit human rights organization, where he assisted foreign lawyers with litigation strategies by providing information about the United States legal system. In addition, he clerked at a consumer financial service law firm in MD, where he assisted in creating a manual on tax lien transfer procedures.
Prior to joining Bluestone Law International, Mr. Choi worked as a liaison officer in the Korea Defense Intelligence Command and served in Iraq as a member of the joint forces for the Iraqi Freedom Operation.
Mr. Choi earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland in 2009 where he focused his studies on international law. In 2010, he completed his LL.M. degree in international and comparative law at the George Washington University Law School. While attending the GW Law School, he focused his studies on international trade, international commercial/business transactions, the CISG (U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sales of Goods), and international arbitration.
