SARAH R. SANDBERG SMITH

Mrs. Smith specializes in commercial transactions, secured transactions, contract litigation, debt recovery, loan workouts, alternative dispute resolution and the enforcement of foreign judgments,. Her legal experience also includes work on matters including, purchase & sale, agency & distribution, commercial property and equipment leasing, corporate restructuring, company valuation, antitrust, joint venture, business acquisition, intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, confidentiality, product certification, import/export licensing, product liability, corporate governance, bankruptcy, financing, and estates and trusts.
Mrs. Smith originally began her career with the firm in 2005 and rejoined the firm in 2009, after spending over two years at Citigroup Global Markets, Inc.
While living and working in Japan from 2001-2003, Mrs. Smith served as Consultant to the Legal Department of Daicel Chemical Industries, Ltd. in Tokyo; and worked for Nishimura & Partners (now Nishimura & Asahi) and Mori Sogo (now Mori Hamada & Matsumoto) law offices in Tokyo, and the Asia-Pacific Regional Counsel of Dow Corning Asia, Ltd. in Tokyo.
Mrs. Smith completed her international legal coursework and academic exchanges in Tokyo, Japan; Beijing, China; Taegu, Korea; and Vienna, Austria.
